Manchester-based Sugar PR has been appointed to handle media relations for the New Scientist Live event as it comes to Manchester for the first time.
The agency will work to raise awareness of the New Scientist Live event, which is set to take place at Manchester Central after a five year run in London.
Virtual attendees and visitors will see talks, discussions and immersive content led by leading academics, entrepreneurs and experts, aimed at those interested in science and technology.
It will feature Radha Boya, the Chair of Nanoscience at University of Manchester, TV presenter and author Dallas Campbell and Jon Chase who is best known for his science ‘raps’ for NASA, BBC and Chester Zoo.
Adrian Newton, commercial and events director of New Scientist Live, said: “It’s amazing to host this event in Manchester which is, of course, internationally recognised as one of the leading global science and technology hubs. The event is aimed at anyone who has an enquiring and inquisitive mind. The unique mix of demonstrations, discussions and interactive experiences will amaze and inspire.”
Sara Walters, of Sugar PR, added: “We’re pleased to have been appointed to raise awareness of this incredible and unique festival in the heart of Greater Manchester.
“We’re delighted to be working with the amazing New Scientist team and looking forward to our media outreach activities over the next few weeks until the event in March.”
The event will take place between March 12th to 14th at Manchester Central.
