McCann Leeds has launched the third episode of its podcast series interviewing leading creative figures about their lives’ pivotal moments.
The most recent episode of the Moments of Truth podcast has welcomed Kully Thiarai, CEO and Creative Director at LEEDS 2023, who’ll be sharing the three key events in her life which have helped shape her future.
In this 45-minute episode, Thiarai is in conversation with Alex Hamilton, McCann Leeds’ Head of PR and Social, along with Creative Emily Cuthbert.

Previous guests on the Moments of Truth podcast – which is inspired by McCann’s principle of ‘Truth Well Told’ – have included Sinéad Rocks, MD Nations and Regions at Channel 4, and Mark Evans, Managing Director – Marketing & Digital at Direct Line.
Alex Hamilton said: “It was real joy to spend some time with Kully and to get to know about her early life growing up and get to understand some of her personal, and professional experiences that have led to her currently spearheading Leeds’ international year of culture in 2023.”
LEEDS 2023 will see an entire year of cultural events coming to the city, featuring large- and small-scale events across communities to celebrate the culture of Leeds through its people, art, sport, and food with the aim of changing the city “forever and for the better”.
