A new partnership has been struck between Leeds healthtech, hero, and programming education provider Code Nation to supply talent for the firm’s growth and development.

Hero supplies organsations with holistic wellbeing programmes and works with companies including Vodafone, Moda, and the NHS. As it grows its team of developers, it has partnered with Code Nation to locate qualified tech talent – and support the training provider with its own wellbeing requirements.

The healthtech firm employs more than 30 and also operates two other health brands – heroPro Sport and hero Training Clubs. In 2019 it secured £1.3 million in funding to roll its services out more widely.

“It’s partnerships like the one with hero which excite us at Code Nation, where we have a genuine shared vision for the development of talent in the UK,” said David Muir, CEO of Code Nation. “Having understood hero’s strategy for growth and their plans for the future, it’s an exciting time for the company, its clients, and Code Nation to support.

“hero will also be working with Code Nation to support with health, wellbeing and developing a proactive and preventative strategy to support colleagues and learners to feel fitter, healthier and happier.”

CEO of hero Joe Gaunt said: “Helping people is always at the forefront of our minds and when we learned about Code Nation, and the need and opportunity to support people to re-train and find new careers in technology and digital, we loved the concept and wanted to explore a partnership.”
