Allied Milling & Baking – the organisation which brings together Allied Mills and Allied Bakeries, producers of Kingsmill and Allinson’s – will rely on Warrington-based Ixis to support eight of its websites.

Ixis will support the diverse websites operated by Allied Milling & Baking, which are currently hosted on a wide range of differing platforms, and consolidate the technology to proactively support the websites and ensure their security.

The agency is set to support the eight websites for a total of three years.

The intention is to maintain the consumer and corporate websites for the milling and baking group, providing guaranteed service and rapid response from a dedicated team at Ixis. The sites are currently hosted across WordPress, Laravel and Umbraco, so Ixis have been tasked with creating robust processes.

Mike Carter, Managing Director at Ixis, said: “We’re looking forward to working with Allied Milling & Baking. We often see the challenge for large multi-brand organisations is to manage a diverse website portfolio. Appointing Ixis means Allied Milling & Baking will benefit from our dedicated service desk, using our reliable processes enabling issues to be fixed quicker and marketing to launch campaigns faster.”

Dennis Neal of Allied Milling & Baking added: “This is a very important part of the strategy for future support of specialist areas of IT, where engagement of specialist skills providers, who work with us to secure our platforms and ensure availability is an important step.”

Allied Milling & Baking, which has locations around the UK, is part of Associated British Foods (ABF) the multinational food processing company. Brands under the ABF name include Twinings, Silver Spoon, Primark, Ryvita, Ovaltine, and Patak’s.

Ixis was founded in 2004 and this year was acquired by CTI Digital, alongside previous acquisitions Nublue and Stardotstar.
