Manchester-based CTS has made two Chief Technology Officer appointments as part of a strategic move to support the changing needs of business.
The role has been divided in two with Oliver Van Goethem becoming CTO of its Google Cloud Data and Infrastructure practice, while Stuart Cummings will be CTO of Work Transformation.
Van Goethem joins from Google Cloud, while Cummings has been promoted from Head of Presales.
“Lockdown has completely altered how organisations work day-to-day and businesses are reviewing their tech strategies as a result,” explained Tom Ray, Managing Director of CTS.
“But it’s important to recognise the IT strategy of every business is different too. Some companies are being driven by data and are looking to utilise machine learning to enhance their operations – which is where Google Cloud is so beneficial, and the CTO of our Data and Infrastructure practice will become crucial.
“On the other hand, a large number of businesses are still assessing their everyday ways of working and looking at how technology can make their organisation more effective – and that’s where the CTO of Work Transformation comes into its own.”
CTS is one of Europe’s largest dedicated Google Cloud partners and employ s more than 200 people in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Utrecht.
