Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford has called on the government to make a U-turn on their decision to end free school meals for kids in an exclusive interview with BBC Breakfast.
Rashford spoke to sports presenter Sally Nugent from the garden of his Cheshire home, and also opened up about his own struggles as a kid in a single-parent household and about the current Black Lives Matter protests.
He said: “Basically I’m hoping the government make a U-Turn on the decision to stop the free meal vouchers. I’m hoping they do it as soon as possible. I know they mention they usually do it during the summer holidays, but due to COVID, the situation has changed for everyone around the world.
