Merge Games in Manchester is releasing a new indie game, Bounty Battle.
It’s worked with French studio Dark Screen Games to secure the rights to 22 “much loved characters” from a roster of indie games to feature in the PC and console “beat ‘em up”.
“Bounty Battle has been such a work of passion for Dark Studio Games, we are really happy to be adding it to the line-up for 2020. It’s testament to the studio that so many world-class indie developers have given their blessing for their characters to be in the game,” said Luke Keighran, Managing Director of Merge.
The title will enable gamers to take on characters from games including Guacamelee! Dead Cells, Darkest Dungeon and Owlboy and see who’d win in a fight.
The game will launch this summer on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch having already been showcased by Nintendo in their March ‘Indie World’ broadcast.
