ITV has announced that Cold Feet is to take another break – but say it is “definitely not farewell”.
The Manchester-based comedy drama, which was originally piloted in 1997, concluded its ninth series last night.
It ran for five series to 2003 before returning for another four series from 2016.
But now writer and creator Mike Bullen has confirmed that a 10th series of Cold Feet would not be appearing for a while as the production team and cast take a “rest”.
There are plans however to pick up the lives of the central characters – played by James Nesbitt, John Thomson, Fay Ripley, Hermione Norris and Robert Bathurst – at a later point in their lives.
