Team Ineos, the most successful cycling team in modern history, is relocating its administration, business operations and marketing teams from Alderley Edge to Wilmslow.
The staff will be moving to the Orbit Developments near Wilmslow train station.
Caroline Turpin, Office Manager for Team INEOS, said “Being able to walk to Wilmslow train station is great for those members of the team making regular journeys to London.
“Wilmslow is full of great bars, cafes and restaurants so the choice for lunch or a drink after work is refreshing when compared to our previous business park home.”
Team INEOS, formerly Team Sky, is the most successful Grand Tour cycling team in modern history, having won seven Tours de France (including last year, with Egan Bernal), two Vueltas a España and the Giro d’Italia.
Chemicals giant INEOS took over the team, which had raced as Team Sky since 2010, in May 2019.
Adam Jackson, Senior Leasing Surveyor at Orbit Developments, added: “The reasons cited by Caroline are true for many businesses whatever their sector. Excellent public transport links and varied local amenity make a big difference to individual staff members, the wellbeing of whom is always key to business success.”
