Old Trafford, the venue of the fourth Ashes test match starting on September 4th, now can offer high-density public Wi-Fi to cricket fans following an upgrade from national telecoms and network provider, Telent.
The provider was chosen by Sky to design and deploy cabling, switches and access points for Sky Wi-Fi at four cricket stadiums – Durham, Trent Bridge, and the Bristol County Ground, as well as Manchester’s very own flagship venue.
Telent upgraded the legacy network already available at Old Trafford to be ready for the more than 25,000 fans the ground can hold, who will arrive at Old Trafford tomorrow to watch England take on Australia in the next test match. The match runs from September 4th until the 8th at Old Trafford Cricket Ground.
