ITV Studios executive Helen Kruger Bratt, who currently oversees the production of hit reality TV shows Love Island and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of here, is to join Liverpool-based Lime Pictures.

Bratt will be Head of Production for Unscripted, responsible for the likes of ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex, E4’s Celebs Go Dating and MTV’s biggest show outside of North America, Geordie Shore.

She will also look after a raft of development projects for both Lime and its labels, including the recently established Wise Owl Films, based in Leeds.

Bratt is currently Executive in Charge of Production at ITV Studios Entertainment, and was instrumental in the rebirth of Love Island for ITV2 in 2015.

She will report directly to joint managing directors Kate Little and Claire Poyser, and will work closely with Head of Unscripted Programming Sarah Tyekiff – who herself moved from ITV in 2017 – across the portfolio. In May, Lime appointed STV’s Nick Johns as Head of Development for Unscripted in the UK.

Little and Poyser said: “We are thrilled that Helen is joining Lime Pictures at this exciting time for the business. We have ambitious plans for the unscripted slate both here in the UK and internationally and Helen’s extensive experience in managing programme juggernauts from pitch to broadcast provides us with the most robust support we could have to reinforce an incredibly strong creative team.”

Bratt added: “After many productive years at ITV, I’m thrilled to be joining Lime at a time of real creative success. Working under Kate and Claire’s leadership, I’m excited to join forces with Sarah to help deliver and grow the business. I can’t wait to start and meet the team.”
