Manchester’s Absurd has won a 3-way pitch to relaunch Electrical Safety First’s website.
The organisation campaigns to prevent death, injury and damage caused by electricity, with its website getting around 250,000 visits per month.
Absurd said that it took a “human-centred approach” to the work, to meet the needs of users, the organisation and technology:
“There are a number of motivations and many audience segments which Electrical Safety First must reach. The design was informed by a need based, audience ecosystem the team created in collaboration with Electrical Safety First. This allowed for comprehensive planning of content and messaging,” explained Oli Taylor, Co-founder and Design Lead at Absurd.
The site includes better information and improved navigation, with calls outs for ‘product recalls’ and ‘product registration’.
“Having accumulated a lot of content over the past number of years, the website had become cumbersome. Working with Absurd we were able to prioritise content and realign the website goals,” added Emma Drackford, Head of Marketing at Electrical Safety First.
