Nick Craske has joined Dept as its new creative director for the UK and US.
Founded in Manchester in 2007 as Building Blocks, the agency was acquired by Dept in 2016 and rebranded earlier this year.
Craske has over 20 years’ experience gained at agencies including Digitas LBi, R/GA, Isobar, Amaze Realise, Forever Beta and Cheil, working on campaigns for the likes of LEGO, Sony, IBM and Samsung.
He will take the lead in the development of the agency’s creative offerings.
Craske said: “Dept offers a best-in-class service offering, creating experiences that people want and businesses need. I’m thrilled to join such a rich, diverse and vibrant company culture of experienced thinkers and makers.”
Jasper Van de Luijitgaarden, managing director at Dept, added: “Nick will be a huge asset to the team, with his wealth of knowledge, industry experience and incredible enthusiasm. He is a natural, creative collaborator; his passion, energy and open-mind will inspire our clients to achieve their digital potential.”
In the past few months, the 115million-euro agency has hired 17 new staff and now totals over 1,000 people operating out of 13 countries.
