UKFast chief executive Lawrence Jones has become a business partner and 50% shareholder in Manchester e-commerce start-up Mercarto.
Jones will provide ongoing financial support as well as business guidance and mentoring. Mercarto enables users to build a free e-commerce store “within minutes”, managing sourcing, storage and fulfilment of products.
Founder and chief executive Sean Brown was enrolled on the Tech Manchester mentoring programme, backed by UKFast.
He said: “When Mercarto joined the Tech Manchester mentor programme in March the level of support was beyond all expectations.”
