Regital has brought in Cisco Systems director, Tunji Akintokun as a non-executive director.
It’s part of a drive by the Manchester digital agency to increase sales in emerging overseas markets.
The firm already operates in Australia, with offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
Akintokun has led Cisco teams across the Middle East, Africa and Russia and is currently director of mid-market sales and partnered alliances across Africa.
“I am excited to be part of the Regital story. Ian [Vint, founding director] and his team have achieved a great deal in a short time and I believe have the potential to expand further into emerging markets, and build a sizeable share of digital media spend in these exciting territories,” he said.
“The Internet continues to change the way we connect, communicate and collaborate at an unprecedented rate. Digitisation touches countries, companies and people in driving innovation and growth, and Regital is a forward thinking organisation embracing this and disrupting the market in the process. I am really excited to be joining Regital at this key phase in their growth and expansion”.
Akintokun was the founder of “Your Future, Your Ambition” a social enterprise to help young children and young adults from diverse backgrounds get into STEM based industries. A Torch bearer for Cisco at the Rio 2016 Olympics, he also sits on the Business Leader Council for education charity, Teach First.
