Andrew Mann, the former customer director of food and customer data director at the Co-operative Group, has joined Asda.
He’s been named as the supermarket’s vice president insight, pricing and digital CRM, based in Leeds.
His role will be to drive a turnaround in sales and customer performance after a difficult 12 months of trading.
Prior to joining the Co-op in 2013, he was director of insight and loyalty at Sainsbury’s for 4 years, and before that, was Clubcard director at Tesco.
His is one of a trio of senior hires for the Leeds-based supermarket. Eilidh MacAskill has been named vice president of creative and will be charged with managing its design, marketing and advertising. MacAskill was global marketing director for Monsoon Accessorize for 2 years. Before this she was editor of InStyle UK and deputy managing editor of InStyle US.
The third arrival is Charlotte Cool, who’s been named vice president of corporate affairs. Cool was at John Lewis for over 10 years, firstly as global head of corporate affairs and latterly as director of communications.
Prior to this she worked within the broadcast sector, with PACT and Nickelodeon.
