Havas PR UK has been appointed by the national tool and equipment hire company HSS Hire to provide PR support for its network of branches.
The agency’s remit includes new branch openings, community relations and supporting local and national marketing campaigns.
The account will be led from Havas PR’s Manchester office and is being headed up by board director Nigel Hughes.
HSS Hire is one of the leading providers of tools, equipment and related services in the UK and Ireland and has 292 branches.
Hughes said: “The HSS brand and communications team have a clear understanding of what PR can do for their business and how it can make a tangible difference. It’s an exciting time for Havas to be brought on board.”
The Havas team will report to HSS Hire Head of Brand and Communications, Gareth Lucy.
He said: “Havas has an impressive track record of working for well-known brands who have a nationwide footprint.
“That’s the expertise we want to draw on to boost the profile of our branch network across the country.”
Havas PR UK operates out of Manchester, Edinburgh and London.
Its Manchester office is based at Havas Village Manchester along with other Havas businesses including Havas Media, Havas Lynx and Havas People.
Other Havas PR UK clients include Kellogg’s, Asda, Greggs and Pets at Home.
