Manchester legal firm, Shoosmiths, has been appointed as the specialist arts lawyers for Hull UK City of Culture 2017.
The company won the bid following a national competitive tender.
Under the contract, it will provide arts and culture legal services, along with commercial sponsorship, brand and trademark advice.

Harper’s team has also worked with Liverpool Sound City, Kendal Calling, Louder than Words and FutureEverything festivals.
