Several Northern productions and figures have been nominated at the National Television Awards.
Coronation Street is hoping to regain the Serial Drama award from Eastenders, with Emmerdale and Hollyoaks also in contention.
Peter Kay’s Car Share, which won four gongs at the RTS NW awards, is nominated in the Comedy category, and BBC Breakfast, based in MediaCityUK, is up for Live Magazine Show.
Ordinary Lies, set in Warrington and produced by RED Production Company, is shortlisted in the New Drama category
The viewer-voted winners will be announced at a ceremony on Wednesday January 20, broadcast on ITV1 from The O2 London.
