Leeds digital agency Open Path has been appointed by ‘internet of things’ startup Cocoon after a four-way pitch.

Cocoon is the company behind a new home security device designed to simplify home security with its Subsound technology, which learns the normal activity in a house and alerts the user if anything unusual happens via mobile notifications, audio and HD video.

Open Path won the website redesign project after impressing with its “strategic thinking and objective-focused approach”, the agency said.

Guy Weston, strategy director, said: “Cocoon’s a really interesting project to be working on. It’s a little bit out of the ordinary and we’re looking forward to flexing our creative muscles to create an online experience which really engages the user and takes them on an innovative journey into the new world of home security.”

The new website is due to launch in October.
