A host of Northern agencies are behind the The Co-operative Pharmacy’s rebrand as Well.

Leeds and Manchester companies working on the brand include McCann, Gratterpalm, Republic of Media, The Leaflet Company, SMRS and APS. Havas PR in Manchester has been appointed to run a PR programme to support its roll out.

The agency’s MD, Brian Beech is leading the account:

“We are absolutely delighted to be on board as one of The Co-operative Pharmacy’s marketing partners to help with the brand journey that lies ahead.  Last year was one of our most successful ever and this very significant new business win is a great way to start 2015.”

The change comes following the £620m takeover of the pharmacies by Bestway Group in July last year.

The Group says it plans to invest £200m in revamping the business and a further £1.6m to establish a new headquarters in the Manchester – relocating 227 staff from the current Co-operative Group offices.

Two agencies based outside the region also worked on the project, event management firm, the Blue Print Company and Langland, which was involved in brand name and logo creation.
