O PR has been appointed by The Lakes Distillery to manage its national, international and trade PR.
The country’s newest and largest distillery is based on Bassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria and will be producing whisky, gin and vodka.
O’s role will be to handle its official launch later in the year and promote individual products through media relations, product placement, blogger engagement and promotions.
“The Lakes Distillery is a fantastic business story of entrepreneurship, job creation, British manufacturing and export sales success, and we’re looking forward to watching it mature,” said Kari Owers, managing director at O.
The Newcastle agency will also be promoting sales of its club membership packages for whisky enthusiasts and investors.
The Lakes Distillery employs 25 people and hopes to become a major visitor attraction for the area.
