Former Amazon ad senior joins Manchester agency

Manchester-based Amazon advertising agency Fluid Marketplaces, has appointed Léonie Ford-Miah as head of client services.

Ford-Miah who previously worked for Amazon for several years, including holding senior roles within its advertising team such as senior marketing manager for digital music, will be tasked with helping the clutch of new clients won by the agency with a strategy for selling their products globally on Amazon. She will also be responsible for bringing more clients on board to help Fluid Marketplaces to achieve its ambitious growth plans.

Directly before joining Fluid Marketplaces, which together with its sister agency and ecommerce specialists Fluid Commerce, is headquartered in Manchester, Ford-Miah ran her own marketing consultancy, deciding at the start of 2025 that she wanted to be part of a wider team of experts.

Ford-Miah felt Fluid Marketplaces was the perfect fit and would enable her to use her skills to help it to achieve good growth, whilst also being able to tap into the support and knowledge of its award-winning team members.

She said: “Amazon is a crowded marketplace, so clients are finding my knowledge of how its advertising services work advantageous in helping them to stand out and achieve growth. As well as servicing UK companies who want to sell their products in other countries, we are being approached by many US companies who want to break into the UK market and need help with the best strategy to do it successfully. I am enjoying supporting them with this and they have already started to see their revenue increasing.

“It’s also great to be part of a supportive team and I’ve been impressed by Fluid Marketplaces’ approach and the positive feedback they receive. They are always adapting and learning and in a fast-paced market such as Amazon that’s vital.”

Fluid Marketplaces also recently appointed Harry Power into the role of senior Amazon PPC executive. He joined Fluid Marketplaces from online toy retailer TopToys2U where he was a digital marketing manager.

Adam Hindle, managing director of Fluid Marketplaces and Fluid Commerce, said at the time: “It’s a very exciting time for Fluid Marketplaces and Léonie’s appointment offers a substantial growth opportunity, not only for our clients, but also for us as a business, due to her expertise.

“We plan to bring more staff like Harry on board as that growth is realised and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.”
