Northern-based Skiddle teams up with Spotify to transform ticket sales for music fans

North West-based ticketing platform Skiddle has unveiled a new integration with streaming giants Spotify transforming how music fans discover and book tickets to live events.

The partnership allows Spotify users to explore gigs, club nights, and festivals featuring their favourite artists directly from the streaming platform. By clicking the ‘Events’ tab on an artist’s profile, fans can browse upcoming shows, pick a date, and purchase tickets seamlessly through Skiddle bridging the gap between streaming and live experiences.

For event organisers, the collaboration unlocks a powerful new sales channel. With listings showcased directly to engaged Spotify listeners, promoters gain greater visibility, access to new audiences, and stronger fan connections all while driving ticket sales.

The move underscores Skiddle’s commitment to innovation, enhancing both the promoter’s reach and the fan experience. Duncan King, Skiddle’s Head of Festival and Partnerships, said: ““Our team has put a lot of work into bringing the Spotify integration to life, so it’s fantastic to see it now live.

“This collaboration opens up an exciting new marketing channel for our partner promoters, seamlessly linking Skiddle’s intuitive platform with highly engaged music fans on Spotify.

“This is just the beginning – the first of many tech partnerships designed to help our promoters sell more tickets while making it easier than ever for fans to discover and book the
gigs they love. We’re already integrated with Songkick and Bandsintown, and we’re continuing to expand our network of integrations to ensure events listed on Skiddle are visible in more places, to more people, at the right time.”

Jon Ostrow, Head of BD and Live Music at Spotify, added: “We envision a world where no Spotify listener misses a concert because they didn’t know it was happening. Our partnership with Skiddle brings us closer to realising that vision by making sure live music fans in the UK can discover more local concerts on Spotify across surfaces like our brand-new Concerts Near You playlist.”
