After a successful career developing fintech solutions to improve financial accessibility for underserved communities for over a decade, Lewis Camilleri founded Boshhh Group.
The Manchester-based group is an ecosystem of fintech products, dedicated to helping customers ‘take back control’ of their financial future through credit repair services and tech to lift barriers around accessing credit.
Boshhh Group recently acquired Popit Mobile, secured £10m in investment, and Boshhh Mobile was recently shortlisted for the Tech for Good category for the Prolific North Champions Awards 2025.
Here, Camilleri shares a recent week in his life…
Monday
The week kicks off early. By 5:00am, I’m up and reviewing my inbox over breakfast, scanning for any urgent matters before heading out for an hour in the gym. I’m back home in time to get Meila, my daughter, up and ready before the school run. From here, it’s straight to the office in Manchester city centre for back-to-back morning meetings with the Boshhh Group leadership team. These meetings set the tone for the week – we align on key objectives, establish priorities, and ensure every department is aligned with our company vision. The Boshhh team has doubled in the last few months, and the business is constantly evolving so it’s important everyone is in the office on a Monday to stay up to date on new developments.
The afternoon is dedicated to one-on-one meetings, checking in with team members to make sure everyone is happy and reaching their full potential. The people are the backbone of Boshhh Group, so maintaining strong connections is a top priority.
My keen interest in international ecommerce and trade, specifically in Europe, means I’m often booked on to last minute business trips making my weekly routine a bit unpredictable, but Mondays and Wednesdays I make sure are protected.
Tuesday
Tuesdays are all about high-level strategy with the leadership team. The morning is dedicated meetings where we deep-dive into performance metrics, on-going projects, and any operational challenges. This is where we fine-tune our execution plans and ensure every team is working efficiently. Boshhh Group has just had a huge injection of funding, to the tune of £10m, and we want every penny to drive us towards our goal of developing an ecosystem of tools to financially empower those who need it most.
The afternoon is reserved for additional fundraising efforts. As we continue scaling Boshhh Group, securing investment and fostering strategic partnerships is key to fuelling our expansion. I spend time speaking with potential investors, refining our pitch, and ensuring our financial roadmap aligns with our ambitious vision. I’ve worked in the financial and legal industries for almost two decades now, so I try and use the relationships I’ve built to make real positive change happen for the financially vulnerable.
After work I try and get in an hour at the driving range or a game of Paddle in. Both of my swings need a bit of work!
Wednesday
Midweek is heavily focused on product development. The Boshhh Mobile app and product websites are central to our business, so I meet with the tech team to review progress, troubleshoot challenges, and discuss future enhancements. The goal is to ensure a seamless experience for our users. We have recently headhunted great tech innovators and veterans to join the Boshhh team and help us harness AI and open banking to achieve some cutting-edge stuff at an unbelievable pace.
By mid-afternoon, I shift gears to something even more important – family time. I make it a priority to leave the office early and pick up my 8-year-old daughter Meila from school to spend quality time with her. It’s the perfect break from the business world, allowing me to reset and be brought back to reality watching her show me the latest moves she’s learnt at gymnastics.
Thursday
The first half of Thursday is usually spent outside the office, meeting with key stakeholders or discussing new partnerships. We want to help as many people achieve financial empowerment as possible, and partnerships help us reach out to new audiences. We work with a range of businesses, from lenders, affiliates, law firms, to insurers and credit bureaus, and they all a unique relationship with Boshhh. One of my favourites places to go with them is Vesuvio in Boothstown; the pizza is amazing.
In the afternoon, I focus on the legal strategy for Boshhh. This plays a vital role in the company’s growth, specifically compliance. At Boshhh we not only help our customers to achieve financial empowerment, but we also work with the lenders, offering fintech solutions that enable fairer, more consistent and informed lending that meets FCA regulations. This means compliance is at the forefront of everything we do.
Later in the day, I finalise the Boshhh Group report and lead a progression meeting with department heads. This ensures that every initiative is on track and that any obstacles are addressed before they become issues. I end the day with a session with my PT at the gym. An hour of sweating and following orders lets my brain zone out and destress before heading home.
Friday
The final day of the workweek is all about reflection and accountability. We start with an end-of-week meeting, assessing whether the targets set on Monday were met. We celebrate wins, address shortfalls, and establish learnings for the upcoming week.
By afternoon, I wrap up any loose ends and prepare for the next phase of Boshhh’s journey. The week is intense, but every challenge brings us closer to achieving our mission, and I love every second.
Being the CEO and Founder of Boshhh Group means wearing multiple hats—leader, strategist, innovator, and mentor. It’s a role that demands a clear vision, huge amounts of motivation and adaptability. But above all, it’s about getting the best out of the people around me who make Boshhh what it is, and driving the process whilst staying true to the company’s core values. I want Boshhh to achieve real change for the underrepresented in the financial industry, so week in week out, I’m committed to pushing Boshhh Group to new heights, and my amazing team are right there alongside me.
