Creative communications agency Hatch has been appointed by leading global hospitality company, Aimbridge Hospitality, to launch the new Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Hotels in Leeds, as well as brand-new rooftop Latin American restaurant, Azotea.
With over 15 years’ experience working with UK and global brands in travel, tourism, hospitality, food and beverage, Hatch has been appointed by Aimbridge to drive awareness of Hyatt’s latest venture in the North and position the new 305 room hotel as the leading and most sought-after hospitality launch in the region.
The new dual-branded Hyatt Place Leeds, featuring 217 spacious guest rooms, and Hyatt House Leeds, featuring 88 apartment-style guestrooms, comes with a state-of-the-art fitness centre, meeting spaces and stunning city views, and will take Leeds’ culinary scene to new heights. Azotea rooftop bar and Latin American restaurant, located on the 12th floor of the property offers an exciting mix of Latin American flavours, live music, and breathtaking views over Leeds skyline. On the ground floor, Zoom Restaurant & Bar offers an all-day dining menu featuring global and locally inspired dishes, ideal for casual dining or a relaxing drink.
Hatch has been brought on board to drive awareness, engagement and demand for the brand in the city, consisting of a pre and post-launch PR campaign, media engagement, launch events for both the hotel and restaurant, as well as experiential activations, which saw carnival-inspired samba dancers taking over the streets of Leeds to promote Azotea’s entertainment offering.
Helen Simpson, performance and development director at Hatch, said: “Hatch and Hyatt are a match made in heaven and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with the team at Aimbridge Hospitality to put Hyatt House and Hyatt Place on the map. We’re proud to have a proven track record delivering successful hotel and restaurant launches nationwide and working with globally recognised brands is a privilege.
“The combination of hotel and aparthotel living across Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brings a unique proposition to Leeds, combined with Hyatt’s status as the city’s first all-electric hotel. Similarly, Azotea brings together some of the most coveted and experienced chefs in the city, curating an exceptional Latin American inspired menu, in a breathtaking location with an entertainment offering Leeds has been crying out for. We look forward to putting Hyatt on the map as the biggest opening in Leeds this year.”
Jill Nichols, director of sales and marketing for Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Leeds, added: “We have ambitious plans for the launch of Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Leeds, alongside our extraordinary Latin American skyline restaurant, Azotea, which is set to take Leeds’ culinary scene to new heights. With unrivalled hospitality and travel experience, there is no better partner than Hatch to help us realise our vision for Hyatt in the region.”
