“Real coup” as BBH exec joins Meanwhile

Meanwhile has appointed Simon Gregory as its new non-executive Strategy Officer.

Gregory is the Chief Strategy Officer at global advertising giant, BBH. He’s spent almost 10 years at the group working in London and Dublin and overseeing award-winning campaigns for the likes of Tesco and Paddy Power.

“A big part of coming home to the North was joining the thriving creative scene,” explained Gregory.

“And, with Meanwhile, I couldn’t have found a better home: great people, ambitious clients, and an exciting trajectory. I’m looking forward to helping them grow and no longer having to soften my accent!”

In the new role, he’ll be implementing and overseeing the MediaCity-based agency’s strategic output across all of its clients, which include tombola, TravelSupermarket, Netflix, Chester Zoo and Coventry Building Society.

“This is a real coup for us, we’re so thrilled as it feels like we’ve really found the missing piece that’ll drive our business to the next level,” said founder, Al Marchant.

“Simon’s pedigree in strategy and planning is second to none and there is no stronger person to take the helm and lead us to even greater effectiveness heights.”

Gregory joined VCCP in 2012 as a planner, before joining BBH in 2015 as its Strategy Director for Tesco.

He will begin his new role in April.
