SkyParlour, a PR and Marketing firm specialising in fintech, has launched a new podcast,
‘Why We Lead’, in collaboration with Lynda Clarke, chief operating officer at pan-European payment processor Tribe Payments. Each episode will see Lynda and SkyParlour CEO Angela Yore interview inspirational leaders to uncover their stories and the secrets to their success.
Why We Lead not only offers a fresh perspective on what it means to lead, but gives listeners insights into the innovations driving the fintech sector, delving into topics such as digital transformation in banking, the rise of decentralised finance, regulatory challenges, and the strategies driving fintech companies to success.
The FinTech sector plays a positive role in contributing to UK growth, with over 76,000 jobs, over half of all UK unicorn companies (more than any other sector), and over $5bn of inward investment in 2023, more than any other country outside the United States. The podcast will serve as an invaluable tool to both current fintech leaders and the next generation of fintech entrepreneurs.

Yore said: “Working in PR means seeing firsthand the power of a story to inspire and empower. In my experience, leadership stories are some of the most transformative, especially in an industry as dynamic as fintech. Lynda and I have been working really hard on this incredibly exciting project, and it’s great to finally share the results. This podcast isn’t just for fintech insiders. It’s for anyone who wants to learn from some truly inspirational people, and who are looking for leadership lessons that can be applied at work, at home, and in our communities.”
The podcast will feature:
- Exclusive interviews with top fintech executives, innovators, and regulators.
- Practical insights on building brand narratives and navigating the media landscape in a fast-paced industry.
- Behind-the-scenes stories of the biggest fintech brands.
Clarke added: “As part of Tribe’s leadership team, I’m often asked what makes a great leader. Over the years I’ve learned that real leadership is about more than strategy and execution: it’s about vision, resilience, and enabling others to achieve their potential. That’s why I’m thrilled to launch the ‘Why We Lead’. This isn’t just about discovering the secrets to their success; it’s about understanding how they’ve overcome challenges, uplifted others, and made their teams more inclusive and innovative.
She concluded: “For me, this podcast is an opportunity to spark meaningful conversations that empower the next generation of leaders and show that leadership comes in many forms.”
The inaugural episode, featuring industry trailblazer and Payments Association board member Laura McCracken as special guest, is now available on all major podcast platforms, including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Upcoming episodes will spotlight leaders from groundbreaking fintech startups, venture capital firms, and global financial institutions.
The debut show’s guest said: “I’m honoured to have been a guest on Why We Lead. Leadership requires authenticity, core values, emotional intelligence and judgement. Great leaders look for the best in their teams and stakeholders, giving them the confidence to set aspirational goals and achieve big things. Clearly, I’m still on my leadership development journey. One of the most powerful ways we can inspire others is by sharing our stories. When we open up about our challenges and triumphs, we create space for others to see what’s possible. This podcast is an essential platform for those conversations, amplifying voices that need to be heard and empowering the next generation of leaders.”
The podcast coincides with the launch of Manchester-based SkyParlour’s new production services, helping fintechs to produce premium quality podcasts, webinars, and digital content, and engage their audiences like never before.
