Tommy Fury in all access documentary as he prepares to return to boxing

Tommy Fury has invited documentary cameras to film his return to the ring, following a turbulent 12 months.

Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury. has been commissioned for BBC Three and iPlayer.

It’s being made by Optomen, the same company which produced At Home With the Furys.

“A lot of people see me in the ring, they see me on social media, but they don’t see ME – the person behind all of that,” stated Fury.

“I’m excited for everyone to finally be able to see what goes on behind the scenes, how the big fights are made, all the ups and downs as well as a glimpse into my private life.”

The professional boxer said that cameras would film every aspect of his life as he seeks to turn things around. Just over a year ago Fury had beaten Jake Paul, he had his relationship with Molly-Mae and a baby daughter.

But in his last fight, he damaged his hand and, unable to train, “his life span out of control.”

“Tommy has given extraordinary access, giving us a candid and unfiltered insight into his life and the unpredictable world of crossover boxing,” explained Rebecca McLaughlin, Executive Producer for Optomen.

Fury’s spent more than a year out of the ring and as a result his next bout brings with it even more pressure.

“The gloves are off in this candid, access all areas insight into the real life of Tommy Fury,” said Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC.

“With unprecedented insights, audiences will see Tommy as they never have before. Whilst he remains undefeated in his boxing career, he is also determined to remain on his feet outside of the ring.”

The 10 x 30 minute series will air later this year.
