Vernon Building Society is investing in the first television ad campaign in its 100 year history.
The Stockport-based company will focus its efforts on the North West, with the advert airing across ITV Granada for the next 4 weeks – supported by radio advertising, paid search, social media and door drops.
“It seems fitting that we’re taking the leap into TV advertising in our one hundredth year,” explained Tanasè Rivers, Head of Marketing, Brand & Products at the Vernon.
“We announced recently that we want to grow our presence in each of the ten Greater Manchester boroughs over the next five years, so it’s essential we start letting people within the region know about our values, services and the difference we make in our local communities. Television is a great way for us to communicate this to our target audience of ABC 55+.”
The Make It Count campaign has been delivered by Manchester’s Brazil Street, with the creative led by Koala, which filmed the commercial in the firm’s recently refurbished Stockport branch.
Big Bang PR is handling the PR campaign.
“We feel confident our new ad will resonate with viewers and make them think twice before deciding where to invest their savings,” added Darren Ditchburn, the new CEO at Vernon Building Society.
The ad comes as Vernon has doubled its marketing spend year on year to over £180,000.
