As the final deadline to enter the Prolific North Creative Awards approaches, we’ve taken a look back at some of our previous winners to find out why they entered and what winning meant to them.
The Creative Awards, first launched in 2023 with the backing of creative experts, is back to showcase more of the region’s brightest and boldest creative individuals, teams and organisations across the North of England and Scotland. And you have until 20 April to get your entries in.
By entering the Creative Awards, it can help raise your profile, get your work in front of our panel of industry-leading judges, and can lead to new clients, work or collaborations. Here’s what some of our previous winners had to say on:
Leeds-based agency Begin won the award for Packaging at the Creative Awards in 2024 for its work on brand strategy, naming, brand architecture, brand creation, packaging design to successfully launching L J Fairburn & Son’s Fairburn Famous British Blue eggs in Asda stores.
On winning, Richard Groom, agency director, said: “We’re so proud to receive this award. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. Our goal was to create a brand that not only stands out but also resonates with consumers, and this recognition is a proud moment for all of us at Begin and the Fairburn team.
“This award is not just a win for Begin, but a celebration of creativity and talent in the North.”
Crowd Network
Crowd Network won the award for Best Audio in 2023 with Eliza: A Robot story. Louise Gwilliam, Eliza’s executive producer and Crowd Network’s talent director, shares why Crowd Network entered the Creative Awards.
“Eliza was a Manchester-based production. The story was set in Manchester, it was created in partnership with Manchester Women’s Aid and it was the concept of a Manchester-based writer. We wanted to enter Eliza into an awards that recognised Manchester creators and the incredible talent on display here. Prolific North has also been really supportive of Crowd as a business since our launch in 2020.
“Before the award was announced, the presenter highlighted that a priority of the awards was to recognise bravery in creative projects in the North West. It meant so much for the bravery involved in telling this story to be acknowledged in the city where it was made.”
Since launching in 2020, Crowd has become one of Europe’s fastest growing independent podcast networks and home to original shows including the Geraint Thomas Cycling Club, FC Bullard and For The Love Of Rugby.
Once all entries for 2025 have been received, a panel of independent, industry-leading experts will compile the shortlist, and ultimately, decide the winners. Check out this year’s judges and categories here.
Entries are open until 20 April for the Prolific North Creative Awards 2025. Good luck!
