Digital media group, KOMI, has turned to MC2 as it seeks to grow internationally.
Manchester-based KOMI Group, which started out in 2016 as the single Facebook page, It’s Gone Viral, now has 120 staff, 40 social media brands and generates in excess of 4bn monthly views.
MC2’s role will be to build the story of the brand, as well as attracting future talent and strategic partners.
“Our vision is to build the most engaged digital audiences in the world,” explained Sam Lenehan, Group Managing Director at KOMI Group.
“As we bring KOMI Group to the global stage with a laser focus on North America, it is crucial that we have the right partners on board. MC2 is just that – the team’s track record of delivering strategic communications strategies for high-growth businesses on similar journeys to ours speaks volumes. We’re excited to continue our work with the team as we enter this new phase of growth.”
Earlier this month KOMI reported 45% year-on-year revenues. It’s also received in excess of £10m of funding through BGF. This was so that it could growth internationally and undertake strategic mergers and acquisitions.
