Peter Crouch takes on plumbing punditry in new campaign

Victorian Plumbing has signed Peter Crouch to become its “ultimate bathroom tactician.”

It’s the latest iteration of its Boss Your Bathroom campaign, which was created by Leon Burnett in 2023 and this time it’s moved into football as the featured couple strategise their bathroom-building tactics.


The ad will air on UK television from this week, featuring a new music theme, which it says is “the anthem of Bossing your bathroom.”

Last week, the Lancashire group published its end of year results, showing that revenue had grown 4% to £295.7m, with adjusted EBITDA rising 14% to £27.2m. It was a year which saw it acquire Doncaster’s Victoria Plum – a key move given the similarity of names:

“We have successfully delivered on two strategic priorities, firstly completing our warehouse transformation on time and in line with budget and, secondly, to accelerate growth through the acquisition of our namesake Victoria Plum, which reduces considerable brand marketing confusion for our customers,” explained Mark Radcliffe, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Victorian Plumbing.

“As a highly cash generative business with a strong balance sheet, we continue to invest in the business; across people, technology and infrastructure. Our new purpose-built 544,000 square feet distribution centre, now fully operational, will enable further growth in the core bathroom category, as well as unlocking strategic category expansion. We are confident that Victorian Plumbing’s profitable growth strategy will continue to deliver long-term value to all stakeholders.”
