Travel Counsellors takes £17.5m in record-breaking first week of December

Travel Counsellors, the UK’s largest tech platform for travel entrepreneurs, has announced significant sales growth at the start of its new financial year, which began on November 1, 2024.

Group sales have reached £114 million this financial year to date, reflecting a 19% increase compared to the same period last year, continuing the company’s momentum having recently reached the £1 billion sales milestone.

In the first week of December alone, the company achieved £17.5 million in group sales, marking its strongest start to December ever and a 31% year-on-year increase. Of this, £8.6 million came from the premium leisure market, which saw a 38% growth.

A significant portion of these sales, over half (51%), were attributed to tailored TC packages while TC Journeys, one of the latest feature’s built into the company’s tech platform, now features over 266 bespoke itineraries. Over the past six weeks, TC Journeys has supported 339 unique customer enquiries with inspiration or personalised quotes, further driving the company’s success as a leading tour operator.

The most popular destinations over the financial year to date included the USA, Spain, Greece, UAE and the Maldives.

Meanwhile, corporate travel has also shown growth, with UK corporate sales reaching £23.8 million, a 12% increase compared to the previous year.

The latest sales figures follow the company’s “30 Beyond” annual conference in Manchester in November, where Travel Counsellors unveiled its strategic vision for the coming year, focusing on integrating advanced technology with the power of human connection.
