A new loyalty currency app, from Norwegian Airlines and Strawberry hotels has gone to number one in the App Store in the Nordics.
Spenn was launched in the region earlier this month, created by Salford Quays-based Apadmi.
The app was built to support the collection, management and spend of Spenn, a loyalty currency which customers will be able to use across a wide range of well-known brands and partners in the Nordics.
“We’re thrilled to see the launch of Spenn and are excited to give our customers more flexibility and choice than ever before,” said Spenn’s Digital Product Manager Andreas Andersson.
“Working closely with Apadmi has allowed us to accelerate our proposition and ensure we deliver a best-in-class mobile experience for our users, the collaboration between all parties has been a huge success.”
Apadmi worked across the design and development, testing and delivery of the mobile app, working to ensure a seamless, accessible UX.
The platform, powered by Flutter, Braze, and Contentful, enables users to accumulate points through purchases or bookings with Spenn’s partners. Customers can save and use Spenn on future flights or hotels with Norwegian Airlines and Strawberry Hotels, or select alternative experiences with their merchant partners.
A dynamic home screen customises offers based on preferences and purchase history, while family accounts let groups pool points towards shared experiences like vacations, while future features will aim to include younger earners in the ecosystem.
“With Spenn, we’re not just building an app; we’re creating an ecosystem that redefines customer loyalty,” explained Apadmi’s Client Services Director Keeley Lee.
“Our goal was to develop a mobile-first experience that’s simple, secure, and scalable, helping Spenn partners deliver the best value to their customers with Spenn.”
Launching on 19th November, it went straight to the top of Apple’s App Store in the Nordic chart.
