Oscar-winning actor, Gary Oldman, is to read a CBeebies Bedtime story, written specially for Children in Need.
The star of Harry Potter, The Dark Knight Trilogy and Slow Horses will join a host of major names to have done a Bedtime Story.
“Stories have a unique way of inspiring imagination and hope in young minds,” he said.
“Hope for young people seems particularly in short supply these days. So I am very honoured to be reading this very special CBeebies Bedtime Story for BBC Children in Need. I hope our story brings warmth and encouragement and hope to children and families watching on the night.”
Claire Taylor has based the tale on a true story and illustrations have been created by Tim Budgen.
BBC Children in Need is based at MediaCity and tonight’s live show will be made at its dock10 studios.
