Chris & Rosie Ramsey are working on a new family entertainment show for TV, shooting in Manchester later this month.
The Geordie couple are taping a pilot episode at dock10 on November 21, promising “plenty of laughs, celebrity appearances, games and audience participation.”
Producers Avalon have put out calls for fans who want to take part in some of the segments of the as-yet-untitled show, based on ideas that have already proved successful for the couple.
One involves airing grievances – but while the What’s Your Beef? section of their podcast and BBC talk show featured romantic partners, the new programme will feature family members or best friends.
A call-out for contributions added: “What petty, menial, or gross things does your sister, brother, mum, dad, uncle, grandparent or best friend do that utterly annoys you and vice versa? This is the chance for both of you to air your beef – with Chris & Rosie’s help.”
It went on: “Please note that both participants must be willing and happy to appear on the show.”
Also returning is the It Goes or I Go segment, with a post on social media asking: “Does someone you love own something you hate? Now could be your chance to finally get rid of it! No item too big or small!”
The couple’s BBC talk show, which saw the married comedians talking to other celebrity couples about life, relationships and the pressures of fame and family, was shelved after two series in the summer.
The talk show launched on BBC Two in 2022 following the success of their Sh**ged Married Annoyed podcast, before moving to BBC One for its second series last year.
But in July it was reported the programme had been put on indefinite hold, with sources blaming a schedule clash.
The couple plugged the new pilot on the latest episode of their podcast, and free tickets to the recording are available from Standing Room Only. To contact producers about taking part in the It Goes or I Go segment, email ChrisandRosie@avalonuk.com.
