NY Ryder Cup mixed reality drive for Manchester creative duo

In celebration of the ‘Year-to-Go’ for one of the world’s greatest sporting events, The 2025 Ryder Cup, video and CGI experts adam+gary have unveiled an innovative Mixed Reality promo in New York.

Collaborating closely with the Ryder Cup team, adam+gary turned New York into the perfect playground to host the 2025 competition. The ad, which blends live-action footage and 3D animation, sees a giant gold ball teeing off from Washington Street in DUMBO and soaring over the iconic Manhattan skyline, before landing a perfect hole-in-one in Central Park.

Every aspect of the video’s creative and post-production was handled by adam+gary.

Gary Bannister-Simm, director of moving image at adam+gary commented: “Working with The Ryder Cup team has been a fantastic experience. They were incredibly receptive to our ideas, which allowed us to push the creative with a Mixed Reality approach to this video – a style we’ve had a lot of success with recently. As soon as we came up with the concept of transforming New York into a golfer’s paradise, everything clicked into place.”

Since its release, the video has captured the attention of fans and media alike, racking up engagement across social media platforms and being featured by international news outlets.

The2025 Ryder Cup will be held at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York between September 23rd-28th.
