Havas Boost is teaming up with Media Trust to launch a free online mentoring programme aimed at helping those from working-class or less advantaged socioeconomic backgrounds in the North West to access the media and advertising industries.
The UK’s media and advertising sector is booming, but its diversity lags behind. This programme aims to provide underrepresented talent with life-changing access to career opportunities in these vibrant industries.
By partnering with Havas, one of the world’s leading advertising and communications groups, Media Trust hopes to build bridges and open doors for talented individuals who may not have previously considered a career in advertising.
Havas Boost will run from November 2024 to April 2025, offering one-to-one mentoring with senior professionals in the marketing and advertising industry and group mentoring sessions to foster peer support and shared learning. The programme is free of charge and provides participants with both vital career guidance and a unique opportunity to build industry connections and gain real-world insight into advertising careers.
The programme is open to:
- • Individuals aged 18
- • Based anywhere in the North West of England
- Not in full-time education
- From a working-class or less advantaged socioeconomic background.
No prior experience in advertising is required, just enthusiasm and a desire to learn. Applications are open until 5pm on Monday, October 21.
