Rise at Seven has named Karl Loudon as global managing director to oversee the entire organisation’s operations.
Current CEO Carrie Rose founded Rise at Seven in July 2019, and has since scaled the business overseas doing work in USA, with offices in Manhattan, and Europe, covering Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands and Italy. Loudon joined the agency 18 months ago as chief commercial officer, prioritising growth in each market. Rose then prioritised growth in the Americas following growing demand.
The agency recently reported 30% YoY growth in the UK and 80% growth in the US, nearly doubling group profits. The agency’s work in the social search space includes Tropic Skincare, Tripadvisor-owned Viator, Ninja, Tandem Bank, Shark, Capital One, Dermalogica and more, and it recently hired social and campaigns director, Wes Hosie, to lead this service.
As a result, the agency exceeded last year’s revenue by mid-2024, marking a healthy increase in its margin and demonstrating the clear impact of this strategic addition.
Both in the UK and North America, the agency has seen an increase in investment from existing and new client wins in both social and strategy, highlighting the growing demand for their expertise.
In his new role, Loudon will focus on the further growth of Rise at Seven, acting as the driving force behind key business initiatives and expanding client relationships, while founder Rose will concentrate on positioning the company for long-term strategic opportunities. This will allow the agency to scale effectively, innovate in new areas, and strengthen its leadership, ensuring continued success and sustainable growth.
Loudon said: “I’m over the moon with the results we’ve seen in the last 18 months as we move to evolve the agency from fast-growth startup mode to one of a sustainable and scalable business. This wouldn’t have been possible without the talented people we’re lucky to have in the business and their appetite to innovate and embrace change.
“I’m honoured to take on this broader role and will continue to focus on how we scale Rise without losing the creative spark that drives the results we deliver day in day out for the brands we work with.”
