Hunt’s on for next £Billion+ companies

The Hunter Foundation [THG] is searching for Scottish unicorns to join ScaleUpScotland 2.0.

The programme has been designed to address the lack of strategic support available to high growth businesses and aims to grow the turnover of each business to over £100m.

“To date our ScaleUp cohorts have added over £1 billion of turnover and created 5000 plus new jobs and whilst we play a very small part in that growth we do believe it’s a pivotal role,” explained Sir Tom Hunter founder of THF.

“Crucially the peer-to-peer support the programme enables is fundamental to a money can’t buy support network for our entrepreneurs. Combine that with brilliant speakers who have been there and done it and it’s compelling we believe and utterly necessary for Scotland’s economic growth.”

Companies must be headquartered in Scotland with current revenues in excess of £10m, a record of strong year on year growth and the potential and matching ambition to achieve significant growth revenues within the next 5 years.

THG said that Biotech and other companies with high valuations but low or no revenues would also be considered.

It will be open to CEO and Executive Leadership teams of up to 12 businesses.

The CEOs of the chosen companies will participate in quarterly residential retreats at Blair Estate over a 12-month period, plus afternoon sessions and early evening dinners hosted by participant companies to explore current challenges and opportunities.

Applications close October 4 with the programme starting January 2025.
