Amy George is partner marketing manager at Employment Hero, an end-to-end HR, payroll and recruitment platform.
She joined the Australian HR tech start-up in 2023 and her role is focused on building the partner network in the UK and driving partner referrals.

Monday
Every day starts the same for me — with a morning coffee and breakfast. I’m a breakfast person and can’t imagine skipping it, as I wake up hungry.
I started the day with a look at the LinkedIn In-mail campaign that has just gone live to check on any new leads. Then I had my morning meeting with the partnership team where we discussed talk tracks and CRM communications to introduce Partners to our latest product launches.
Tuesday
Tuesday kicked off with me working with the team to start planning which partners to invite to our table at an awards dinner in October we’re sponsoring.
The organisers have announced the finalists for each award which means sending out congratulation’s gifts to each finalist for the award we’re sponsoring. I also met with the design and content team to ensure we’re all aligned on the layout, design, tone of voice, and copy for our updated partner referral programme in line with our newest product launches.
Wednesday
I start early for a 7:00 to 7:30 AM meeting with the global partner marketing team. We’re an Australian business so these meetings are great to catch up and dedicate that time to each other as a team as we have people joining from AU, NZ and Singapore! We share learnings and best practices and what we’re doing in our different regions.
I discussed a webinar I’m planning for our partners regarding a new product launch, including its format and arranging speakers. We also explored how we are collaborating with partners in line with the new product launch and the exciting benefits we are providing within the partner programme.
Thursday
I spent this morning supporting some partners with new listings on their website, so I sent over assets, copy, links and logos for this to be set up. I often leave emails for the afternoon when I typically have less meetings, allowing me to focus on tasks with a specific agenda, almost like a to-do list on my calendar. I also schedule external meetings for the afternoon, including a discussion with an event organiser for a November event I’m planning.
Friday
Friday always starts with a walk before work with my friend and we grab a coffee. We get a good 6,000 steps in, and we talk work/life and give each other advice so they are both our non-negotiables. Today’s work is focused on building out the partner webinars, this involves much more than meets the eye! I’m organising the presentation format, content, speakers, sign-up and reminder emails and social posts.
Truthfully, every day and every week is very different. All Employment Hero staff work remotely which I really enjoy, and it means I can use my lunchtime efficiently. This week I’ve done a food shop, taken my car for a service and had a guy come over to measure for a new carpet. It’s amazing what life tasks you can do in one hour.
