Leith lands Luton Airport Express creative brief

Leith has been appointed as the creative agency for the Luton Airport Express running between London and the UK’s fifth busiest airport following a competitive pitch.

The Edinburgh and Manchester-based agency will deliver a new campaign for Luton Airport Express including film and radio. The brief will focus on changing the perception of a journey from London to Luton Airport being a long and arduous one to the reality of an affordable and half-hourly service taking just 32 minutes.

The win comes off the back of being selected as one of five agencies for the East Midlands Railways Creative Agency Framework earlier in 2024. East Midlands Railway (EMR) is the current operator of the East Midlands franchise and Luton Airport Express.

Jenna Cowie, the head of revenue and marketing at Luton Airport Express said: “We’re delighted to be working with Leith following our most recent competitive pitch for the new Luton Airport Express campaign following its launch on March 23. We wanted daring and memorable creative that matched our ambition for the brand and with focused strategic insight and bold creative Leith secured the first award on our new creative framework. We can’t wait to show passengers our first work together.”

Ed Brooke, executive partner at Leith, added: “Following our addition to the East Midlands Railway Framework we are delighted, after our first pitch, to be given the opportunity to work on the Luton Airport Express account, one which offers savvy travellers an amazing service between the capital and one of the country’s busiest airports.”
