New screen industries support hub opens in Manchester

Screen industry support hub Triangle Facilities Hub has opened up at The Sharp Project in Manchester.

The hub offers support and tech advice to anyone using or housing digital equipment for the screen industry, including production companies, hire firms, freelancers and educators.

The firm said: “In such a dynamic marketplace where you need to scale up with little warning, we are here to offer a unique support solution, tailor-made for production and facilities houses.”

Triangle Facilities Hub offers support to anyone with digital equipment, primarily focused on hire companies who traditionally have had no one to lean on for support. It also supports production houses with in-house kit and education facilities. It offers support a sector that excels at problem-solving by bringing flexibility, and extra pairs of hands and minds to the table, specifically targeting the creative industry which, more than most, requires an incredible level of dynamism with staff and overtime.

The hub aims to support the growth and development of the North West’s dynamic film and broadcast sectors and, by acting as a supporting partner, provide a high-level service and skills, reducing overheads and risk for those already investing in high value equipment.

Triangle is the brainchild of Jess and Alain Lolliot. Passionate about technology, equipment and problem solving, they have worked in digital equipment hire for more than 15 years, with the last nine years spent working together in Manchester.

Alain Lolliot said he is “excited to bring his knowledge and specialist skills to the wider industry” as he looks forward to getting actively involved in problem solving and training. “Our mission is to ensure a seamless experience for anyone providing or using digital equipment,” he added.
