David Tennant has been cast in Netflix’s adaptation of Richard Osman’s best seller The Thursday Murder Club.
The book follows a group of pensioners who set about solving the murder of a property developer.
It is not yet known who former Doctor Who Tennant will play, but he joins an all-star cast including Jonathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie, Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie.

Netflix announced the project in April, and no release date has yet been set. Osman has said that filming will take place “this summer from the end of June to September,” suggesting a 2025 debut.
