Meet the STEM Marketing Awards judges for 2024

STEM Marketing Awards 2024

As we gear up for the first STEM Marketing Awards, we can reveal some of the industry experts already on board to judge your entries for 2024.

Early bird entries are now open for the STEM Marketing Awards until 26 July, where we’ve teamed up with founding awards partner Lesniak Swann to celebrate and showcase the outstanding B2B and marketing achievements of companies and individuals across the STEM world.

An independent, and carefully selected panel of industry experts will take part in a fair and transparent two-step judging process for these awards where they will compile the shortlist, and ultimately decide the winners. We’ve had a chat with some of them to find out about why these awards are so important…

Chris Witte, Head of Marketing, EA Technology

“The energy sector is at a critical point on its transition to net zero, especially with the global push for renewable resources like wind, and solar. This has exacerbated an already significant skills shortage for professionals with expertise in engineering, environmental science and technology. These awards can become an important part of the mix in promoting and recognising great people, teams and projects within the STEM marketing disciplines.”

Emma Degnan, Senior Marketing Campaign Specialist, Thermo Fisher

“The awards will encourage innovation and excellence in marketing professionals working in the STEM sector. They will also highlight the breadth of careers available across STEM as well as promoting continuous learning, further emphasising the importance of skills development within these rapidly evolving fields. A priority of the awards is to recognise impactful innovation, showcase creativity combined with technical fluency, and inspire marketing professionals within the field.”

Joshua Odigie, Marketing Manager, Flexeserve

“The STEM Marketing Awards seeks to showcase unique and multifaceted work; I believe unconventional thinking is part of any successful marketing groupthink and any organisation that dedicates its dynamic towards highlighting that is one I’d happily support. I’m honoured to be an inaugural judge at this event and long may it continue to shine a light on the ever-growing and pivotal STEM sector.”

Jason Neale, Managing Director, The Agency Works

“I love a day out of the office, and wearing a fancy suit to an awards night with champagne? That’s right up my street! Jokes aside, the STEM sector is one of the biggest contributors to the UK economy. And I’m really honoured to have been asked to take part in the celebration and recognition of the creative brilliance behind that, the talent that drives it forward.”

Jennifer Watkiss, Global Marcoms Lead – Digital Offerings, WSP

“Marketing in the STEM field goes beyond just selling a product. The blend of technical understanding and deep audience insight required to communicate the value of a complex product or solution to the right people at the right time puts every aspect of marketing skills to the test. Awards that specifically recognize this are long overdue, and I’m excited to see the entries that highlight this wonderfully exciting work.”

Check out all of the judges here and make sure you get your entries in before 26 July.
