First public fundraise for MediaCity translation technology firm

A tech firm, which creates translation earbuds, is aiming to raise almost £500k through Crowdcube.

MyManu is behind the AI-powered Clik S and Clik Pro earbuds, which offer live translation in 55 languages and, in the fundraising documents, it states that its pre-money valuation is £15m.

It has already raised half of its goal (£200k) through 2 “prominent and successful Angel investors.”

“This public raise is your chance to be part of our journey and help us achieve our goal of making the world a better place without any language barriers,” said Marketing Director, Rudolph Soulard.

“Whether you’re an avid traveller, a business professional, or someone passionate about fostering inclusion, your support can make a difference.”

The company has already received Innovate UK backing through its Diversity and Inclusivity grant – so that it could develop features to support diverse communities, asylum seekers and refugees. Last year it won the Innovation Award Honoree at CES 2024 for the third time, which it said secured “thousands of pre-orders” from major retailers.

MyManu is based at HOST, MediaCityUK and it says that the global translation market is expected to be worth $46.22bn by 2028.

Its translation tech is currently being trialled by the Louvre and Marriott Hotel chains as well as Bestbuy.
