The judges for the Prolific North Marketing Awards have shared their top tips to help you craft a winning entry.
Entries are open until 22 August for the Prolific North Marketing Awards 2024, where we’ll be gearing up for another year to celebrate ambitious campaigns, talented teams and individuals across the marketing industry in the North and Scotland.
Whether its grabbing the judges attention through humour to the importance of data, value and impact, we found out from some of the independent panel of experts what they’ll be looking out for this year along with some tips to help you with your entries.
John Schumacher, Managing Director, The Future Factory North
“The submissions that caught my attention last year were the media rich, engaging ones. This is a tough task for the judges as we wade through tons of these submissions so grab our attention through humour and candid language. The more you humanise this the better.”
Molly Johnston, Head of Marketing, Gradcore
“For the last few years I have been a judge for the Prolific North Marketing Awards, I have always said data, data, and more data! While I still think that’s important and certainly key to any successful award entry, this year is different for me. Beyond vanity metrics – I want to see value and impact too.
“It’s not always achievable, but I love it when I’m able to read about ads, campaigns and strategies that were memorable because they made a difference.”
Jason Yip, Head of Marketing Web, CRM and Analytics, Newcastle University
“As a judge, I’ll be looking out for how you’ve considered the customer viewpoint, how that’s shaped creativity across all channels and how you’ve measured their satisfaction, loyalty and overall customer experience. I’ll also be looking at how you’ve considered ethical practices and sustainability into your approach and the overall execution of your campaign.”
Nikki Dixon, Director of Brand & Marketing, Leeds Building Society
“Be authentic, be creative, be confident and tell your story. Also, keep it simple and help the judge to understand the why, the what, the how. A stand out entry for me is one that evokes emotion and one that takes me on a journey from start to finish with the results that are clear to see.”
Submit your entry here before 22 August. If you need any assistance, check out the FAQs page here or get in touch with a member of the team via hello@prolificnorth.co.uk. Good luck!
