Digital Union, the North East network for digital agencies, has recruited a full-time networks manager.
Rachel Peacock joins from DevAcademy in Newcastle, where she was managing director.
Her role will be to drive growth, through membership and promote the region’s digital sector.
“I’m from the North East and proud of our region and what we’re trying to achieve. This role felt like a natural progression, combining my connections, knowledge of the area and desire to help grow the creative and digital community as well as create real jobs and opportunities,” she explained.
“I’ll be helping the network to grow and connecting all the individuals, businesses and organisations working in the North East’s Creative and Digital sector. Having worked in this sector over the last few years, I am passionate about raising the profile of the region and promoting the fantastic work of businesses based here.”
The organisation has also unveiled its new website, to better network with members.
“When conducting the search for a network manager to take the reins of Digital Union, we needed an enthusiastic and well-connected individual who would build on the foundations that we had set and ensure the strategies and campaigns would be effective,” added Jim Mawdsley.
“In Rachel, we have found more and with her obvious drive I am confident that we will see Digital Union become an even more effective vehicle for the North East’s Creative Digital Sector.”
