Attendees to this year’s Rupert Smith Memorial Lecture will get an insider’s view of Google from Andy Barke, its head of northern agencies.
He will deliver the talk at Manchester Metropolitan University on Thursday to marketing specialists, students and tech partners.
He’ll look at the way the search engine has grown into a multi-faceted global tech company, and will look to show why its mission statement is as important today as when Google first launched.
He will also discuss how a company like Google stays relevant despite the rapid speed of change in the connected world.
The Rupert Smith Memorial Lecture is a fund-raising event hosted by the university on behalf of the MPA Educational Trust.
Founded in 1990 by Rupert Smith, the trust is a registered charity promoting education in marketing and advertising in the North West by providing bursaries to students.
